Certain categories are entitled to a FREE eye examination which is covered by the NHS, they are listed below:- People aged 60 or over. Children under 16*. Young people aged 16-18 in full time education*. Registered blind or partially sighted. Diagnosed diabetic or glaucoma sufferers. Risk of developing glaucoma (referred by an Ophthalmologist). People aged 40 or over who are the parent, son, daughter, brother or sister of a person diagnosed with glaucoma. People and their partner getting - Income Support, Income Based Job Seeker's Allowance, Working Families Tax Credit, Disability Living Allowance* People and their partner with an HC2 Certificate*.
